Many Christians have unrealistic expectations of the church. While brethren ought to love one another deeply and be unified in truth and spirit, we are all still flawed, imperfect people. Problems will emerge. We won't always agree. We won't always get along. This lesson reminds us that while unity is the goal, we must be mature enough to expect and to handle the problems that come our way.
