As we conclude our month-long study of purity, we turn our attention in this sermon to the issue of public modesty and mixed swimming using the story of Peter in John 21:1-11. The weather continues to heat up and Christians are being tempted to wear less and less clothing and sometimes even stripping down to biblically-defined nakedness (and surrounding ourselves with it) at public beaches and pools. This lesson offers a unique perspective on the issue, drawing not only from the biblical text but from the historical and cultural settings of the first century.
