The Love of Christ
The Love of Christ
Tuesday is a day where we let the ones we love know how much we love and care for them. We shower them with gifts, flowers, chocolates, and romantic dinners. It’s one day of the year that is set aside to dwell on the ones we love most. It’s a fun holiday. Some people love it, and some people hate it. However, Valentine’s Day is not the only day where we should remember the ones we love. We should remember them everyday.
Jesus loves you. And I can guarantee He thinks about you every day. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son” (John 3:16). Jesus took that love to the cross and died for our sins. He gave us a gift that is better than chocolate, flowers and dinner. He gave us hope and love.
He showed His love for us by giving up His own life. The question I want us to dwell on, is how are we showing our love for Him?
- Are you telling Jesus that you love Him?
- Are you thanking Jesus for the sacrifice He made?
- Are you showing others the love Jesus has for us?
- Are you spreading the Gospel so others can share in the love of God?
- Are you loving Jesus every day?
The important thing to remember is to show Christ everyday that you love Him. He gave us so much, when we deserve so little. When reading the Bible we can find the love of God on every page. We see how He has constantly shown patience and obedience to His chosen people. He has always expressed the interest in having a relationship with His children, even when they don’t want one. He has always made sure His people were taken care, even when they didn’t deserve it. The same goes for us today. We deserve nothing God has given us, but yet He loves us enough to make sure we are always provided for. God deserves our complete loyalty and our complete love. Not just one day a week, but everyday of our lives.
